The Hoosic Trail Masters Club Inc. was started 2002, for the protection of the land owners and those trails that cross their properties. Our trail system connects two Counties, Rensselaer and Washington along with the State of Vermont.
The Towns of Hoosick, Cambridge, Jackson and White Creek have a rich history that dates back to the times that the American Indians maintained the trails of our area
thru 1770's when the area was crisscrossed by British and Colonial troops to and from Battles like the Battle of Bennington in 1777. There are many views and sites that are only enjoyed by a select few; until winter snows blancket the terrain and trails are open.
Our trail utilize The Tibbit's State Forrest and Mt Tom State Forrest. 2006 is the first year that both properties will have permitted trails crossing these sites.
The Hoosic Trail Masters will be connecting more local business with the trail system and protect even more trails in the future from being lost due to the decline of farms in our communities.
